Function Type: Compatibility

Description:

Returns the inverse of the one-tailed probability of the chi-squared distribution. In Excel 2007, this is a Statistical function.

Function Structure:

=CHIINV(probability, deg_freedom).

Argument Breakdown:

probability – The probability of the chi-square distribution, for which you want to find the value of x.

deg_freedom – The number of degrees of freedom (must be a positive integer). If the supplied deg_freedom is a decimal, this is truncated to an integer.
